Meet the Chef Who’s Freaked Out About Being Called a Granddad
Gordon Ramsay, the famous 54‑year‑old chef with a growing “kinder squad” – twins Jack & Holly (20), Megan (22), Matilda (19), and a tiny toddler named Oscar (just 19 months) – got a little spooked by how the internet mislabels his family relationships.
He shared the drama with Britain’s Men’s Health over the weekend:
- Megan (22)
- Jack & Holly (twins, 20)
- Matilda (19)
- Oscar (tiny 19‑month‑old)
During a stroll with his wife Tana and Jack, a passerby looked at Jack like he was a granddad’s baby, thinking Oscar was his son. “You must be so proud to be a grandad,” the stranger remarked, to which Gordon snapped back, “F* off, he’s ours.”
He threatened he’ll hit the roof if anyone again calls him a grandad.
Family Fitness Frenzy
Beyond the kitchen, Gordon’s passion for fitness is a family affair. In the latest issue of Britain’s Men’s Health, he bragged about:
- Jack completing his first Ironman 70.3 last year
- He’s getting all the kids to run the London Marathon to raise money for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital
- Tana’s gearing up for her 10th marathon
- Gordon himself heading for his 15th London Marathon, plus two London ultras and five ultra events
He said it’s “starting to rub off on them” and that’s the case – the whole squad is in the saddle.
Riding the Sweet Spot
He’s also an honest-to‑goodness cyclist, and he complains of that dreaded “ball‑bag a‑shock” that only a Crushén can sense. He tried searching for a “Rhinoceros Skin” gel after accidentally mishearing Olympian Mark Cavendish’s advice. “I’ve never overcome how painful it is on the saddle,” he told us.
When he trains, he shuns protein bars as “f disgusting.” He thinks a chef can eat whatever he wants. “Can a chef say protein bars taste delicious when they taste f* disgusting?” he mused. So for now, he sticks to heroic portions of his own recipes.
Gordon’s story leaves one thing clear: he’s a chef, a family man, and a fitness fan—pressed into the spotlight, yet ready to keep pushing forward.
