A woman told 8World she had to detour around the spot while she and her family sat down for lunch at the jewel‑themed mall. With a relaxed crowd of roughly 20 people, most seemed unfazed by the sudden water show. One photo even caught a man dusting a tall metal ladder, apparently inspecting where the leak came from.
Jewel’s Quick Fix
A Jewel spokesperson confirmed a water‑pipe leak around 11:15 am that was promptly addressed. “Affected tenants were inconvenienced for about 30 minutes before normal operations resumed,” the spokesperson said. “There was no other disruption to operations.”
Past Issues in the Spotlight
Changi Airport recently opened Jewel in April, and they’ve had a few hiccups with faulty sprinklers causing similar “water leakages.” It seems the new vibe demands a bit of extra maintenance.
