LTA Announces Another ERP Rate Hike
In a move that is sure to tickle the wallets of Singaporeans behind the wheel, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) has confirmed that Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) rates will climb once again. The decision comes after traffic managers noticed traffic snarls on several expressway stretches, and the rates will bump by $1.00 starting from Sept 19, 2022.

All other previously announced time slots and gantries will stay the same.
Why the Raise?
The LTA cites persistent congestion along the expressway network as the reason behind the hike. Even with the adjustment, the total number of charging locations and time slots remains well below pre‑COVID‑19 levels, a point the authority stresses as reassuring.
Heads‑Up for Drivers
Keep your digital ticket ready. While the new rates might add a few dollars to your commute, the improved traffic flow could shave minutes off those dreaded morning and evening rushes.
