“Petchyindee turned me into a champion, but I’ll never forget where I started and who helped me get there,” he reflects.
Facing the Weight‑Cut Woes
Riding the high-spot of frequent fights and brutal weight cuts, he eventually hit a wall. “I took a break to revive my drive and focus,” he says. Returning refreshed, he now trains six hours a day, six days a week, emphasizing recovery to stay fit and ready.
ONE Championship Breakthrough
June marked his entry into ONE’s striking-only league—a pivotal milestone for a 25‑year‑old, arm‑strong warrior. “I used to watch ONE on TV dreaming, never thinking I’d step into the arena myself,” Sorgraw laughs.
His debut was nothing short of a spectacle: a nail‑biting strike‑show down against Samy Sana, earning a decision win that thrilled fans.
A Vision Beyond the Ring
For Sorgraw, the earnings from Muay Thai aren’t just money—they’re a gateway to spiritual fulfilment. He plans to ordain as a monk in Prakhon Chai, a gesture that would honor his family deeply.
But first, he’s aiming to take the ONE Super Series World Title with a showdown against the world’s top pound‑for‑pound kickboxer, Giorgio “The Doctor” Petrosyan.
