Call of Duty: Warzone – The New Battleground is Coming Soon!
Hold onto your hats, gamers! In case you missed our earlier heads‑up, a fresh Call of Duty battle royale is on the horizon, and it’s called Warzone. It will launch in the same month, so the countdown has begun.
What’s Warzone?
- New game mode within Modern Warfare
- Also a stand‑alone, free‑to‑play title – no purchase of the main game required to dive in.
- Open to everyone: whether you own Modern Warfare or not, you can download and jump right into the action.
First Trailer Alert
We’ve got a sneak peek that’ll get your adrenaline pumping – the first trailer is available for watching now. It gives a glimpse into the chaotic, fast‑paced world Warzone is about to unleash.
Massive Battlefield
Warzone is gearing up to be a smash hit in the battle royale arena, with:
- Up to 150 players in each match
- The city of Verdansk, sprawling across several zones with over 300 hotspots to seize.
- A mix of brand‑new landmarks and nods to familiar maps from previous Call of Duty titles.
Plunder Mode – Your New Addiction
Feel tired of the endless “just survive” play? Try Warzone’s Plunder mode. Here, you’ll:
- Collect as much currency as you can
- Loot the map, snatch enemies’ cash, and conquer Contracts for extra rewards.
Vehicles – Ready, Set, Drive!
Drivers, rejoice. Warzone adds a fleet of vehicles, far beyond what PUBG offers:
- ATVs, Tactical Rovers, SUVs, Cargo Trucks, and Helicopters
Game‑Changers & Features
Warzone is shaking up the genre with several novel twists:
- First-time elimination throws players into a Gulag, where they watch others duke it out before fighting for their own comeback.
- Successful Gulag victories grant a re‑deployment onto the map.
- Instead of traditional respawns, players can:
- Complete Contracts to earn in‑game cash and new abilities.
- Use cash at Buy Stations to punch out Killstreaks, Redeploy Tokens, self‑revive kits, and more.
- Gold: Modern Warfare owners enjoy bonus perks; their Battle Pass items and cosmetics carry over, and vice versa. Non‑owners can buy the main game anytime, and their progress will sync across both titles.
Release Dates – What You Need to Know
- Owners of Modern Warfare get early access at 11 pm Singapore time on March 10, 2020.
- Non‑owners can snag the free Warzone drop a few hours later, 3 am Singapore time on March 11, 2020.
Download Overheads
- Modern Warfare owners will download a slim 18‑22 GB update.
