Hougang Road Crash: Three Men Make a Quick Exit
Early on Wednesday (March 16), a black sedan wreaked havoc on Hougang Avenue 4, smashing into a lamp post and crossing the grassy verge before finally parking on a nearby sidewalk. The vehicle, apparently skidding for the record, was later towed away.
What Went Down

- Location: Between Hougang Ave 4 and Ave 9, near Block 670.
- The crash: Car mounts the curb, hits the lamp post, slides across the grass, and settles on the sidewalk.
- Aftermath: Police cordoned the spot and pulled the vehicle roughly four hours later.
Three Men on the Run
Local residents and a quick‑fire Facebook clip captured the drama. Three men hopped out of the wrecked car shortly afterward, sprinting up the grass slope toward nearby flatblocks. One of them, seen in a white T‑shirt, walked out of the front seat just minutes after the impact.
While the driver never spoke, the men’s swift exit has added a touch of mystery to the incident. Were they cowardly? Were they just trying not to get stuck? Only the traffic police can say.
