China Says It’ll Hit Back If U.S. Slaps New Tariffs on Chinese Goods
Beijing, China – The Chinese Foreign Ministry isn’t playing around. After President Donald Trump rattled off a list of virtually every item he might tax in the U.S., Beijing’s spokesperson Geng Shuang warned that China would retaliate if the U.S. pulls the trigger.

During a routine morning briefing, Geng Shuang shot back: “If the United States takes any new steps on trade, China will respond.”
