Singapore’s COVID‑19 Update – 93 Cases, 62 Recovered, 7 in ICU
Yesterday (Feb 26), the Ministry of Health (MOH) added two fresh cases to Singapore’s tally, bringing the total up to 93 infections. 62 of those patients have now finished their hospital stay and flown back into the air of everyday life.
Discharged Heroes of the Week
- Case 59 – A 61‑year‑old private‑hospital doctor who went from unknown to officially ill on Feb 13. He was kept at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases and fought off the virus. No links to the five major clusters, but a side‑kick of a 40‑year‑old Chinese work‑pass holder (Case 72).
- Case 56 – A 30‑year‑old Bangladeshi national, the first of five that escaped the Seletar work‑site cluster to return home. The Bangladeshi High Commission had flagged Case 42 as critical earlier this week.
- Cases 49 & 73 – Two members of the Grace Assembly of God cluster, both now gone.
Hospital Ward Snapshots
The Ministry tells us that the remaining 31 patients are predominantly stable or improving. Seven of them are battling the illness in the intensive care unit. That’s a good sign – it means most folks are feeling better, but we’re not letting their “in‑critical” status get in the way of a friendly wish to get well soon.
New Cases – Flat‑Out Local Men
The newest additions to the Covid‑19 list are two Singaporean men, both devoid of any recent China travels. As a side note, the world can breathe a sigh, as every party planner can finally shrink those “travel clips” paragraphs in their spreadsheets.
In a nutshell, the city-state’s infection numbers have steadied, and we’re flying the “recovery flag” high. Let’s keep our masks handy, get the flu shots, and watch the news for the next plot twist.

Two New Cases Confirmed Over the Weekend
Case 92, a 47‑year‑old, was admitted to an isolation ward at Sengkang General Hospital. Case 93, aged 38, has been placed in a quarantine room at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.
The Ministry of Health is actively tracing contacts to find out if these two patients are linked to any prior outbreaks. It’s a bit like a detective story, but with a lot more coughing.
- Case 92: 47 yrs, Sengkang General Hospital isolation unit
- Case 93: 38 yrs, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital quarantine area
