Covid‑19 Recovery at Home Yet TraceTogether App Remains Unclear—Ong Ye Kung Promises Quick Fix

Your TraceTogether Status Will Be Fixed Soon

Good news, Singapore! If you’ve recovered from COVID‑19 at home but are still seeing “not cleared” pop up on your TraceTogether app, the government’s on it. Health Minister Ong Ye Kung told Parliament this week that the glitch will be ironed out in just a few days.

What’s Happening?

  • The app’s “not cleared” flag usually disappears after you finish your home‑recovery period.
  • Ong explained that the system will automatically sync with your discharge date, so the warning vanishes the moment you’re officially done.
  • Vaccinated folks can get back to normal life after 10 days; unvaccinated—after 14 days.

Why This Is Important

  • While you’re labeled “not cleared,” you can’t re‑enter most buildings—think restaurants, malls, and even grocery counters.
  • Typically, you’d get a second PCR test to prove you’re negative, but many people recovering at home don’t get that test.
  • Studies have shown that fully vaccinated people’s viral load drops dramatically after 10 days, which is why the policy was introduced.

Minister Ong, in a quick response to Eastern Coast GRC MP Jessica Tan’s concerns, noted that the IT system needs to keep up with evolving health policies. “I expect this problem to be resolved sometime this week,” he said.

So hang tight with your phone—those hilarious “not cleared” alerts will soon be history, and you can finally head out for your next social adventure.
