Singapore Distributes 12 Antigen Rapid Test Kits to Every Household
Why the Government is Packing Your Mailbox with Test Kits This Holiday Season
On Monday, 21 Nov, the Ministry of Health kicked off the fourth round of ART kit distribution. The plan? Over 1.5 million households will receive 12 rapid test kits each, tucked neatly inside their letterbox over the next few weeks.
Health Minister Ong Ye Kung asked Singaporeans on Facebook to get their curtain ring on. “Do remember to test yourself especially if you have just returned from overseas, are feeling unwell or visiting vulnerable persons,” he urged. “The year‑end is also the peak period for infections, so we seek your patience and understanding as SingPost goes about making the deliveries.”
SingPost is the courier hero handling the shipments. The earlier nationwide ART drive in July took place when the Omicron XBB wave swept across the island.
How to Use the Kits – A Quick Guide
- Step‑by‑step: Open the envelope, follow the instructions on the package.
- When to test: Right after you come back from abroad, if you feel a bug coming on, or before you visit someone who is more at risk.
- Who’s getting the extra kits? The Ministry said lower‑income households, students, beneficiaries of social service offices and family service centres can request additional kits if needed.

In addition, people aged 18‑49 can register for the bivalent COVID‑19 booster dose starting 7 Nov.
