When and Where?
The In Loving Memory of Leslie Cheung Online Concert 2021 runs from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm on April 1.
HiEggo will broadcast it across its YouTube channel, Facebook page, and major media platforms.
Behind the Scenes
Last year, HiEggo sparked hope with two online concerts featuring Hui and Aaron Kwok during the height of the pandemic.
This time, the creative helm will be carried by actor Lawrence Cheng and producer Patrick Siu, both veterans of previous shows.
What’s on the Setlist?
Each artist will revisit classic hits — from “For Your Heart Only” (1985) (Lee’s chosen number) to other beloved tracks that defined Cheung’s legacy. Expect melodic grandeur, 12‑tone harmony from Metro, and the orchestral swell of HK Baptist.
Special Guests and Stories
- Karen Mok (50) laughed that she might have been Gor Gor’s first fan, meeting him when she was only seven. She recalls dancing in the 1988 singing contest where Leslie shone.
- Hacken Lee (53) remembered weekly meals with the late star, describing a karaoke session when Cheung was “break‑away” from vocals. He felt it was like winning a lottery of unforgettable moments.
This event isn’t just for the fans; it’s an opportunity to benefit a deserving charity. The Hong Kong Tourism Board, Harbour City mall, and fan club LesFANmily support the concert, with a portion of proceeds earmarked for the Food Angel program – a food‑rescue initiative supporting those in need.
