Melbourne Accident Leaves Singapore Woman on Life Support

Gwyneth Lok on Life Support in Melbourne Crash

Living in a Medical Dream

Miss Gwyneth Lok, a spirited 20‑year‑old project executive from Chupa, has been slipped into a coma after a brutal head injury at Melbourne’s Alfred Hospital. The Aussie doctors are warning the family to brace for the worst.

Family Fly‑In

  • Parents, teenage brother  – all in Australia to keep an eye on their youngest.
  • Miss Lok, fresh out of Ngee Ann Polytechnic with a diploma in early childhood education.

What Went Down?

The accident took place Saturday night in Windermere, near a tree on Madden Road. A blue Renault, with five Singaporeans aboard (four women & a man), collided with a white Triton that crashed into the left side. The Renault finally stalled against a nearby tree.

Other Casualties
  • Nasuha Nasser – 21‑year‑old psychology & communication student, charged with dangerous driving causing serious injury.
  • Two school‑mates passenger – minor injuries, taken to Ballarat Base Hospital.
  • Ruth – the 48‑year‑old Triton driver – left unharmed.
  • Ten‑year‑old Triton daughter – only minor injuries.
  • Miss Naimi Nasser – Nasuha’s twin sister, business student, critical head & chest injuries, now stable.
Legal Take‑away

Nasuha was granted bail last Monday; if convicted she could face up to 5 years’ prison for dangerous driving or 10 years if negligence is proven. A court return is scheduled for February.

Current Status

Alfred Hospital staff confirm Miss Lok is in the Intensive Care Unit. The employer, Chupa, hasn’t replied to inquiries.
