MS Teams Gets a Personal Upgrade—Finally!

Good news for anyone who uses Teams but wants a personal space. Microsoft has just teased a preview of a personal version of its popular Teams app, available for free on iOS and Android.

How to Grab It

  1. Head to the App Store or Google Play and download Microsoft Teams.
  2. Start fresh with a personal Microsoft account—or just bring in your phone number.
  3. If you’re already using Teams for work, you can easily switch by going to Settings > Add an account and toggling between the two accounts.

What the Personal Version Offers

  • Chat, video calls, and instant messaging—just like the work version.
  • Shared lists, documents, and calendars inside a group dashboard.
  • Seamless OneDrive integration for documents you need to collaborate on.
  • “Safe” feature that acts like a secure vault for passwords and other sensitive info.
Rolling Out

Microsoft is rolling out this preview over the next few weeks, so you’ll get a taste of the personal experience soon. The full rollout—including desktop and web versions—will follow later this year.
