Singapore’s New Ferry to Desaru: Sailing into the Future

Get ready, globe‑trotters! From July 7, the skies (or rather, the water) between Singapore’s Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal and Johor’s Desaru Coast Ferry Terminal will be buzzing with fresh waves of travel. It’s a brand‑new adventure that promises to turn a simple day trip into a splashy escape.

Ticket & Schedule Essentials

  • Ticketing and timetables go live online from June 30 on Desaru Coast’s official site and Batam Fast’s portal.
  • Ferry runs: one round‑trip a day from Thursday to Sunday.
  • Travel time: 90 minutes each way—just enough time to sip a drink and soak up the sea breeze.

Capacity & Flexibility

Initial runs can carry up to 330 passengers. If the footfall picks up, expect higher-frequency ferries and possibly larger vessels.
