Meet Your Mailman: The New MyPostman Experience
Finally, your local postman’s identity is no longer a mystery. Starting Tuesday, July 16, residents in Yishun and Bukit Timah can hunt down their mailman’s profile on the mypostman.sg site. And if you’ve ever wondered whether they’re fast, friendly, or just incredibly punctual, you’re in luck: you can now rate them and drop a quick comment.
How It Works
- Districts 58, 59, 65, and 76 are the launch pad. Enter the postcode on the site, and you’ll see a short bio of the postman who’s on duty.
- Rate them on a five‑star scale and leave a friendly note that will pop up on their dashboard.
- Lively feedback page for any service hiccups — if your letterboxing issue is a real do‑oh, the drop‑in will be flagged and handled swiftly.
Free Magnets With a Twist
Bonus perk: SingPost is mailing a set of fridge magnets to every Singaporean home and business. Each set has four magnets, one of which carries a QR code that takes you straight to the feedback portal. Stick it on the fridge, scan it, and you’re in for a hassle‑free review.
Launching Nationwide
While it’s on a trial run in just a handful of districts, the campaign will roll out across the entire country by October. So, keep an eye on your mailbox tomorrow – you might just get your postman’s photo in the mail!
Why You Should Care
It’s more than a fun gimmick. Robin Goh, our spokesperson, reminds us that the system will triage critical complaints (think unlocked master doors) and prioritize rapid responses. For ordinary questions, you’ll still point the call to singpost.com or the hotline at 1605.
Minister Iswaran already noted a 30% drop in letter and parcel complaints last month, hinting the post office’s wake‑up call is paying dividends. Vincent Phang, the Singapore head of postal services, says the campaign is about bringing a human face to the daily grind of mail delivery.
What’s the Bottom Line?
You can rate and review your neighbor’s mailman. He or she won’t receive bonus points for the rating (yet), but you will be part of a move to build community trust and support happier, faster service.
That’s the scoop – get notified, make your voice heard, and your postman might even get that extra coffee after a solid 5‑star review!
