Behind the Collaboration
- Pat Houston – Whitney’s sister‑in‑law and former manager – says this was something the late legend “planned” before she passed away in 2012.
- She told People magazine, “It’s exactly what Whitney always wanted. I’m glad we’re finally making it happen – and the first teaser already has us buzzing.”
- Her love for makeup started in her teens modeling and was “part of her art,” she adds.

“We’re keeping it true to her favourite shades – bold eyeshadows, that power‑packed red lipstick,” Pat explains. The line aims to make every woman feel fabulous, whether she’s on a stage or brushing up for binge‑watching.
Making the Diva Look Alive in the Store
Pat, who’s also producing the film helmed by Kasi Lemmons, worked closely with MAC’s design squad to capture Whitney’s essence in each product. “We looked at her photos, videos, and we’re proud to say the looks are spot‑on,” she says.
