Good Omens Season 2: The Long‑Awaited Revelation
After a lengthy game of “wait and see” from the brilliant Neil Gaiman, the fan‑favourite Good Omens finally gets a sneak preview that people can actually clutch onto.
What the Clip Showed
During New York Comic Con 2022, Gaiman, along with the rest of the cast and crew, handed out a brief teaser from Season 2. He teased that the new season will be packed with love stories and, of course, a whole lot more Heaven and Hell to keep things spicy.
- Nina Sosanya appears as a brand‑new character named Nina, working in a quaint coffee shop in SoHo.
- Muriel (played by Quelin Sepulveda) slips into Aziraphale’s shop twice‑as‑old‑fashioned, all‑white policeman outfit. She’s clearly bad at the “human police officer” lie.
- “I’m a human police officer,” Muriel declares, as Aziraphale invites her inside and offers tea. Muriel merely stares at the tea, refusing to take a single sip.
- Crowley, played by David Tennant, barges in and immediately leans against Aziraphale’s chair for an impromptu movie‑night vibe. Muriel protests, “I’m supposed to observe you!” before the duo disappears into a bedroom. Aziraphale calmly notes, “We’ll tell you what we talked about when we’re done.”
Who’s Back and Who’s New?
Mike Sheen and David Tennant return in their iconic roles. Jon Hamm also reprises his part as Archangel Gabriel. However, Frances McDormand and Benedict Cumberbatch will not be returning as God and Lucifer.
- Returning favourites: Derek Jacobi, Niamh Walsh, Mark Gatiss, Steve Pemberton, and Reece Shearsmith.
- Fresh faces added for Season 2: Dame Siân Phillips, Tim Downie, Pete Firman, Andi Osho, and Alex Norton.
