Thomas Markle Turns to Queen Elizabeth to Patch Up Family Ties
In a candid live interview on ITV, Thomas Markle, the estranged father of Meghan, the Duke of Sussex’s wife, pleaded that the Queen might help mend the broken relationship between him and his daughter.
What He Said
- “If Queen Elizabeth could do anything, I’m sure she could fix this. She’ll want something in the family, right?”
- He added, “No matter if you’re royalty or not, families belong together, especially when the holidays roll around.”
- “Funny enough, my daughter didn’t send a Christmas card, but I’m hoping we can click into a new chapter soon.”
“I’m only saying I’m here; she knows it; I’ve reached out, and I need her to respond. I love her – a lot.” – Thomas Markle
Why the Card Missed the Mark
Leaning into the holiday awkwardness, the Father joked, “I definitely needed that card, but the love is still loud!”
What Next?
Markle hopes a royal touch might straighten out the bursting script of the family’s saga. The palace has yet to weigh in.
