What We Finally Know About the Waititi‑Directed Star Wars Film
Lucasfilm’s own President, Kathleen Kennedy, was grilled by Total Film about whether “The Waititi Project” will hit the big screen next year.
She answered with a classic Hollywood shrug:
“Yeah. Well, not 2023, but late 2023,” she said. “We haven’t locked anything in.”
That is the first concrete bite of info we’ve gotten since the project was announced in May 2020 (and Kiri Pratt had first chatted with James Cameron in January 2020).
Easy: the movie still doesn’t have a ring‑tone title, a plot teaser, or a clear place in the Star Wars galaxy. It’s simply a mystery box with a countdown on the front.
